My approach to wedding photography comes down to one thing: keeping it real. I'm not the photographer directing every pose or every second. I'd rather hang back, let your day actually happen, and catch it as it comes; the laughter, the glances, the moments no one's posing for.
For me, it's never just about pretty photos. It's about preserving how the day actually felt. The quiet moments you didn't even notice happening, the big ones you'll never forget, and everything in between. I want your photos to feel like your day, something you can look back on years from now and actually feel again, not just see.
By the time your wedding day comes around, I've usually helped with the timeline, talked through travel logistics, and answered way more questions than just ones about photography. I like it that way. Somewhere along the process, I stop feeling like just your photographer and start feeling like a friend who happens to be really good with a camera.
Get to Know Charlotte
I'm Charlotte, a Pasadena-based wedding and elopement photographer who truly loves being behind the camera. With 13 years of photography experience and 7 years spent specifically capturing weddings, my approach is all about real moments, genuine emotion, and the candid, in-between interactions that make your day unforgettable.
My love for photography started young. My mom, grandma, and grandpa always had a camera in hand, documenting everything, and watching them capture those moments is what first sparked my own appreciation for photography and the power of preserving memories.
Photography quickly turned into a passion for travel too. I studied abroad in Rome and later spent years as a flight attendant, crossing time zones and exploring corners of the world most people only dream of visiting. My camera was my escape anytime I felt homesick and quickly became my passion and career. That background shapes how I work today: I know how to move through new places with ease, adapt on the fly, and find beauty wherever a couple's story takes us, whether that's Italy, a Southern California coastline, or somewhere entirely off the map.
When I'm not photographing weddings and engagements, you can find me thrifting, trying every new restaurant I can find, bartending, rewatching The Office for the hundredth time, curled up with a good book, or hanging out with my dog Gatsby and my cats Mose and Dundie.

I read over 100 books a year. A few all-time favorites: The Goldfinch, The Nightingale, Project Hail Mary (or The Martian), The Count of Monte Cristo, The Hearts Invisible Furies, and The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue.
Collections
Vintage cameras (had to happen eventually), vintage bar glassware and tools, and a growing pile of bar coasters and patches from basically everywhere I've traveled.
Best Thrift Finds
Nearly-new Doc Martens in my exact size, a pirate-looking treasure chest that now serves as my living room coffee table, and an ever-growing collection of knick-knacks I probably didn't need.
Go-To Foods
A classic PB&J, an authentic Margherita pizza, a Jimmy John's BLT, and literally anything that combines chocolate and peanut butter.

Dirty martini or an old fashioned, depending on my mood.
